8th & 9th Hour- Extended Hour Offerings

Central High offers extended hours to our standard 8:30-2:40* schedule and meets all scheduled school days except Professional Development days for teachers.

8th hour: 3:00-3:45 PM
9th hour: 3:45-4:30 PM
This program provides educational opportunities, including:

credit recovery
enrichment and credit advancement (limited seats), and
mandatory education hours.

Content is presented through Edmentum Courseware.

The teacher-student ratio in the extended hours is generally 1:5. This allows our staff to provide individualized tutoring and support on an as- needed basis with limited delays.

Students are expected to attend their extended hours daily. Some flexibility is possible in order to meet personal or work needs.

* 8:30-1:40 on Wednesdays
