College and Career Center

Early College

Central High School works in partnership with Lakeshore College to provide Early College opportunities for students meeting the program requirements.

This program comes at no cost to families and helps students to gain College credits in High School. There are many program areas to choose from. Classes are both offered here at Central High School and at Lakeshore College.

Workplace Learning

Central High also has a program that allows students to earn credit for working while in school.  For every 120 hours of verified work, students can earn 0.5 elective credit. Up to 2 credits can be earned towards graduation requirements through this opportunity.

To be eligible, students must do the following:

1. Submit pay stubs (physical or digital) to the College and Career Liaison each pay period.
2. Maintain satisfactory communication and attendance.
3. Complete a work-related seminar or learning activity for every 120 hours to receive 0.5 credit.
To sign up for this program, reach out to the College and Career Liaison for a meeting.
