Chromebook Information

Each staff member will have a class set of chromebooks available in class.

The goal of Chromebook and technology use is to create a collaborative learning environment for all students. By supporting engagement with content and promoting self-directed exploration and inquiry on content-related topics and activities, students will be transformed from consumers of information to creators of content.

Though our Chromebooks are not assigned to individual students, we do have an inventory of Chromebooks that can be checked out on loan. Students communicate with their teacher(s) a plan to work outside of school, and the teacher will submit a Chromebook Loaner Request. 

Students can pick up their Chromebook Loaner at the end of the school day on their way out of the building.  They are expected to return the Chromebook Loaner before 8:30AM on the next school day.

Sometimes, in unique circumstances, a Chromebook Loaner may be checked out for a more extended period of time. Central High School and the Sheboygan Area School District use various Google Apps for education. This suite of free and paid tools provides a secure, collaborative platform for teaching and learning.

Students will regularly access the following applications, as well as additional apps assigned by their teachers:

GMail
Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides
Google Drive
Google Meet
